J.sCrewed

The word on the street is that Sears and Urban Outfitters are both bidding to buy J.Crew.   This seems less than desirable given that, to me, Sears conjures up thoughts of  washer/dryer sets and lawn mowers.  Urban Outfitters leaves me a bit cold, too, as I mostly think of over-priced, poor quality clothes for pseudo-hipsters (yes, I acknowledge that they carry the intermittant cute dress).  My mom (who admittedly cannot remember names of any sort) has been calling it JC Crew - like JC Penny's -  for years now.  This begs the question:  Freudian slip or prophetic vision??
